Trine University, the fastest growing private university in Indiana, is growing ourUniversity of Advancement team and is seeking an experienced front line fundraiser.The Director of Development shall formulate, implement and oversee a strategic fundraisingplan designed to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects, aswell as current and past donors for the purpose of providing financial support forthe priorities of the University. Plan, develop, implement, administer, evaluate, and monitor an aggressive major giftfundraising program in an assigned geographical area and/or by a determined portfolioof individuals, businesses, and corporations. Solicit gifts of $10,000 and above (annual, major, planned) from alumni and friendsof the University, with a particular emphasis on identified campaign priorities. Identify and cultivate new relationships with prospective corporate, business, andindustry sources. Support the President, Vice President, and other Advancement staff in collaborationand strategy for direct research and preparation of briefing materials, talking points,and meeting strategies. As appropriate, facilitate interaction with principal prospectsby the President and VP. Conduct appropriate fundraising activities in support of the budget and programs focusedon individual/corporate donor upgrading, cultivation, and solicitation. Cultivate and steward present donors as well as complete discovery visits with newpotential donors. Produce well-written, accurate, and timely follow-up and related correspondence suchas comprehensive proposals, related budgets, contact reports, thank you letters, emails,and calls in support of cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding prospects. Maintain donor/prospect record-keeping system, ensuring that accurate and completerecords of information and activity are prepared and maintained in the data managementsystem. Requires flexible scheduling, significant time away from the office to meet with prospectivedonors, whether local, regional, or national, as assigned, periodic weekend and eveningassignments, as well as activities and other duties as assigned. Requirements
