Role Overview
EF Specialists is seeking a Business Development Consultant (School District Partnerships) to drive new business opportunities with California school districts and Special Ed Attorneys.
This consultant will leverage existing relationships, special education expertise, and strategic outreach to expand district partnerships and increase revenue in 2026.
The ideal candidate has:
A strong professional network within California's special education systems
A clear understanding of the executive function needs of students
The ability to build trust-based relationships with district leaders
Confidence in consultative outreach and relationship-driven sales
You will receive direct training from the CEO on our sales process and collaborate closely with leadership on outreach strategy and prospect development.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Generate new school district contracts through special education partnerships for the 2025-2026 school year.
Build and maintain a documented pipeline of district relationships in GoHighLevel
Maintain clear notes and follow-up activity for internal coordination
Core Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities with California school districts
Build, nurture, and manage relationships with district administrators and decision-makers
Conduct inquiry and sales calls, address objections, and manage follow-up
Maintain accurate contact records and opportunity tracking in GoHighLevel (GHL)
Collaborate with internal teams to align districts and families with appropriate EF specialists
Support contract growth by transitioning short-term engagements into longer-term service packages (bonus eligible)
Expertise & Focus Areas
Strategic growth within special education services
Knowledge of IDEA, IEP, and 504 processes
Relationship-driven sales and referral development
Systems-based tracking, documentation, and follow-through
Tools & Support
Leads provided through GoHighLevel (CRM)
Company Google Drive
Structured onboarding:
Observe one sales call
Participate in one observed call
Transition to independent outreach
Ongoing leadership check-ins and strategy support
Compensation & Structure
$50–$70 per hour, depending on experience
Performance bonus: 1% of the total value of each new contract secured
Paid within 30 days of contract execution
Applies to new clients only (not renewals)
1099 contractor position
Starting at approximately 4 hours per week, with the opportunity to grow
Reports directly to the CEO
Fully remote
Required Skill Sets
Background in special education, psychology, child development, or a related field
Strong understanding of school district structures and decision-making processes
Ability to manage consultative sales conversations and handle objections confidently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
Comfortable with outreach, including cold calls and navigating gatekeepers
Self-motivated, solutions-focused, and relationship-driven
Familiarity with coaching, tutoring, or disability-related services
Proficiency with Google Workspace, CRM systems, AI tools, and video platforms (Zoom, Google Meet)
Professional and effective working with diverse school communities
Availability to conduct outreach during weekday PST hours
Education & Experience Required:
Master’s degree in Special Education, Education Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Preferred:
Special Education credential or equivalent coursework
Minimum of five years of teaching, administrative, coaching, or district-related experience
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Our mission is to guide middle and high school students in overcoming procrastination, disorganization, and anxiety by teaching time management, prioritization, and communication skills so they feel motivated, prepared, and empowered.
We provide one‑on‑one remote coaching that helps students strengthen organization, planning, self‑advocacy, and accountability. Our team collaborates closely with families, educators, school districts, and regional funding centers (SDP) to support students facing academic and executive functioning challenges.
