The Role We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead our Salesforce platform engineering team and drive technical excellence across our cloud infrastructure. This role will be responsible for managing the Salesforce ecosystem, leading a team of 10+ full‑stack engineers, and partnering with business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions that support our real‑estate investment operations.

Key Responsibilities Platform Management & Technical Leadership

Serve as the primary technical owner and architect for the Salesforce platform, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and custom applications

Design and oversee implementation of scalable, secure, and performant Salesforce solutions aligned with business objectives

Manage cloud infrastructure with emphasis on AWS services, ensuring optimal integration between Salesforce and other enterprise systems

Lead system design initiatives from concept through implementation, maintaining hands‑on involvement in critical technical decisions

Establish and maintain technical standards, architectural patterns, and development best practices across the engineering organization

Oversee API integrations, data migrations, and third‑party application implementations within the Salesforce ecosystem

Team Leadership & Development

Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 10+ full‑stack engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

Provide coaching and career development guidance to team members, conducting regular 1:1s and performance reviews

Lead talent acquisition efforts, including defining role requirements, interviewing candidates, and building a diverse, high‑performing team

Create and implement technical training programs to upskill team members on Salesforce platform capabilities and cloud technologies

Build and maintain an inclusive team environment that encourages collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional growth

Strategic Partnership & Collaboration

Partner closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and executive leadership to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment across the technology stack

Serve as a technical advisor to business units, providing insights on platform capabilities and innovation opportunities

Drive adoption of industry best practices in software development, DevOps, and agile methodologies

Participate in strategic planning and roadmap development for technology initiatives

Salesforce Platform Excellence

Oversee Salesforce release management, ensuring smooth deployment of new features and platform upgrades

Implement and maintain robust security, compliance, and data governance frameworks within Salesforce

Optimize platform performance, scalability, and cost‑effectiveness through continuous monitoring and improvement

Manage Salesforce licenses, user provisioning, and platform administration activities

Stay current with Salesforce innovations and evaluate new features for potential business value

Required Qualifications Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience managing engineering teams of 10+ full‑stack engineers

7+ years of hands‑on experience with Salesforce platform development and administration

Proven track record of system design and architecture in enterprise environments

Demonstrated experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation)

Strong background in recruiting, mentoring, and developing technical talent

Technical Skills

Expert‑level knowledge of Salesforce platform: Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL

Deep understanding of Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk, Streaming) and integration patterns

Proficiency with Salesforce DevOps tools: Salesforce DX, CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git)

Strong knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture patterns

Experience with modern development frameworks and full‑stack technologies (JavaScript, React, Node.js, Python, Java)

Understanding of database design, data modeling, and ETL processes

Knowledge of authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML, SSO)

Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Salesforce Event Monitoring, CloudWatch, Datadog)

Leadership & Soft Skills

Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders

Proven ability to build and maintain strong partnerships across business and technical teams

Strong problem‑solving skills with a strategic, solutions‑oriented mindset

Experience driving organizational change and adoption of best practices

Ability to balance hands‑on technical work with people management responsibilities

Track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget

Preferred Qualifications

Experience within Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) organizations or real estate technology

Understanding of REIT operations, asset management, property management, and investment workflows

Salesforce certifications: Platform Developer I/II, Application Architect, System Architect, or Technical Architect

AWS certifications: Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps Administrator

Experience with Salesforce CPQ, Financial Services Cloud, or Experience Cloud

Knowledge of real‑estate‑specific software platforms (Yardi, MRI, Argus)

Experience with data analytics platforms (Tableau, Einstein Analytics)

Background in agile/scrum methodologies with relevant certifications (CSM, SAFe)

Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
