Overview
The
Customer Business Manager III
serves as a strategic leader and trusted advisor, driving shopper marketing and connected commerce strategies that deliver measurable impact for clients. This role blends analytics, storytelling, and execution to influence decision‑making, strengthen client partnerships, and accelerate growth across brands and retailers. Responsibilities
Lead and execute shopper marketing and connected commerce measurement strategies using proprietary frameworks to demonstrate performance and ROI Own all analytics and measurement initiatives for assigned clients, serving as the primary insights expert and strategic advisor Translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives that build trust, show impact, and influence future client strategy Develop deep expertise in assigned customers within a defined geographic region, including full understanding of their goals, priorities, and objectives Present targeted, data‑driven strategic plans that strengthen brand promotion, activation, and overall effectiveness Execute strategic plans for all client brands across assigned retailers, with accountability for:
Sales and share growth Distribution and pricing Promotion and merchandising Financial performance and profitability
Maintain proactive, ongoing communication with client teams to provide status updates, identify opportunities, manage expectations, and support achievement of business plans Serve as the customer expert, owning the communication and transfer of customer insights, changes, and learnings across relevant internal teams Consistently utilize CROSSVIEW as the core planning, communication, and execution platform to drive efficiency, visibility, and alignment Partner with Business Account Managers and cross‑functional teams to develop targeted, insight‑led strategies that improve brand performance Identify and sell additional services by leveraging performance insights, customer knowledge, and understanding of client objectives Support the development of materials for CROSSVIEW Business Reviews and participate in client presentations as appropriate Qualifications
Education And Experience
Bachelor's degree preferred or a minimum of 5+ years of experience in the CPG industry 7+ years of sales experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel (pivot tables), PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and email Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, listening, and presentation abilities Experience with insights‑based, consultative selling and negotiation Professional Skills And Competencies
Strong retailer knowledge with credibility and respect among retail partners Clear understanding of client strategy, expectations, and business objectives Ability to analyze data, develop insights, and clearly communicate recommendations Persuasive selling skills with a consultative approach Working knowledge of category management principles, including the 4 Ps Strong business acumen with awareness of market and industry trends Excellent organizational and time‑management skills Customer‑focused mindset with the ability to manage pressure professionally Performance Expectations
Execute sales plans within budget Achieve new item acceptances in line with client standards Drive existing client growth (revenue and/or sales volume) Maintain strong customer service performance (NPS) Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
Valid driver's license required Supervisory Responsibility

Combination of office and field environments Travel Requirements
Ability to travel within the U.S. for customer, client, or company meetings as needed Physical Requirements
Ability to transport sample products to customer meetings Language Skills
