Social Video Editor & Producer (Part-Time to Full-Time Path)

Curio Blvd, New York, NY, United States

Curio Blvd is a female-founded brand creating elevated keepsakes and emotionally driven home goods.

This is a hands-on video production role for someone fluent in both

editing and shooting , who understands storytelling, pacing, retention, and how to turn raw footage into high-performing content.

You will own social video end-to-end- from concept development through filming, editing, publishing, and performance review- while helping refine how the brand and founder’s channels visually operate.

You’ll have real creative autonomy and trust, with space to test formats, elevate production quality, and build more intentional long-form and short-form storytelling systems.

If performance is strong and growth follows, this role transitions into full-time.

Who This Role Is For

A strong video editor who also knows how to shoot

Someone who understands story structure- especially in long-form

A producer who thinks in narratives, not trends

A creative who brings fresh, out-of-the-box thinking to every project

Someone comfortable owning projects fully- from idea to final export

A self-starter who thrives with creative freedom

What You’ll Work On

Producing and editing social video content end-to-end

Filming founder-led and product-focused content (primarily mobile, occasional professional camera use)

Editing long-form video with strong narrative arc (this is essential)

Crafting compelling hooks and pacing for retention

Writing and refining voice-over scripts

Adding captions, on-screen text, and subtle graphics that enhance performance

Posting content directly to Instagram and TikTok with platform-specific optimization

Organizing footage, builds, and creative workflows

Collaborating in-person in NYC 1–2 days per week for filming and ideation

Required Experience

Strong long-form video editing experience (non-negotiable)

Proven ability to hold attention beyond quick cuts and trends

Experience shooting content with strong lighting, framing, and audio awareness

Scriptwriting experience for voice-overs

Strong understanding of captions and on-screen text as storytelling tools

Portfolios consisting only of very short clips (under 15 seconds) will not be considered

Must understand platform nuances- hooks, retention, pacing, and engagement

This role begins part-time but is structured to grow into a full-time position for someone whose work drives measurable results.

We’re looking for someone who believes in the brand and wants to build something long-term, not someone looking to clip trends.

More Than Just Product Content While Curio Blvd centers around design-forward keepsake products, the brand’s storytelling extends beyond product. The founder’s work returning lost heirlooms to families creates emotionally powerful, documentary-style moments that translate strongly to video. This role will also occasionally help shape how those stories are captured, structured, and shared.
