THE ROLE The Paid Media Specialist is responsible for executing and optimizing paid media strategy across retail media channels to drive profitable growth, new customer acquisition, and brand visibility. This role will manage day‑to‑day campaign execution, testing, reporting, and optimization across platforms including but not limited to Walmart Connect, Chewy Ads, Petco Media Network, and other emerging retail media networks.
You will report to the Sr. Ecommerce Manager and partner cross‑functionally with Creative, Social, Lifecycle, and Finance teams to ensure campaigns are aligned with overall revenue goals, promotional calendars, and inventory planning.
This is a highly analytical and execution‑focused role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment and understands both performance marketing and retail media ecosystems.
This role is based out of Los Angeles, CA but we are open to remote candidates who are willing to travel 1x per month.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience managing paid media campaigns and is eager to grow deeper expertise in retail media networks. You are highly analytical, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing budgets across multiple platforms.
You understand performance metrics such as ROAS, TACOS, CAC, and contribution margin, and can proactively identify optimization opportunities. You thrive in a fast‑paced environment and enjoy testing, learning, and iterating to drive measurable growth.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Execute and optimize paid media campaigns across retail media channels.
Manage campaigns across platforms including but not limited to: Chewy Ads, Petco Media Network, Walmart Connect
Support retail media growth by improving sponsored product visibility, increasing share of shelf, and driving incremental revenue across key retail partners.
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and scale winning campaigns.
Collaborate with Retail and Sales teams to align media support with promotional calendars, product launches, and inventory availability.
Execute A/B testing across creative, audiences, bidding strategies, and placements to continuously improve performance.
Build and maintain performance reporting dashboards using platform analytics and internal reporting tools.
Provide data‑backed insights and creative performance feedback to internal stakeholders.
Stay current on evolving retail media trends, platform updates, and best practices.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
2–4 years of hands‑on paid media experience.
Exposure to at least one retail media network (Chewy, Petco, Walmart Connect, Amazon or similar).
Strong understanding of performance metrics including ROAS, TACOS, CAC, and contribution margin.
Highly analytical with strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
Experience building clear, data‑driven reports and presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint and/or Google Slides.
Organized and able to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in CPG, pet, wellness, or supplement categories.
Familiarity with retail media reporting tools (Skai, Pacvue, etc.) and sponsored product optimization.
Experience working cross‑functionally with retail or sales teams.
Comfortable operating in a high‑growth, fast‑paced environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

SALARY RANGE The salary range for this position is $60k – $70k annually, with potential for performance‑based bonus.
