We're looking for a data-driven, hair-obsessed Lifecycle Marketing Manager to help strengthen and scale the customer journey across every touchpoint.

This role is ideal for a strong lifecycle executor who is ready to deepen their strategic ownership. You will lead execution across Email, SMS, Push, and Direct Mail — while growing into increased responsibility for retention strategy, LTV optimization, and performance insights over time.

Requirements For Success

Prior experience working in DTC eCommerce is required. Candidates should have hands‑on experience supporting lifecycle marketing efforts for an online retail brand

Deep understanding of Black women’s hair, extensions, natural textures, and styling methods. You understand customer concerns at every stage of her hair journey and can speak to them clearly and persuasively

Impeccable taste with a strong understanding of elevated, modern Black beauty aesthetics

Extremely detail‑oriented and highly organized. You execute reliably and don’t let things slip

Strong direct‑response copywriter who understands how to drive measurable action — and can confidently write and edit in our brand voice so messaging resonates deeply with our core customer. You are comfortable refining agency and contractor copy to meet our tone and standards

Strong content planning and research skills. You proactively study customer behavior, reviews, objections, trends, and performance data to inform campaign planning

Strong SMS marketing foundation with hands‑on experience executing campaigns and flows

Familiarity with RFM segmentation, LTV metrics, and retention reporting — with a desire to deepen strategic expertise in these areas

Data‑comfortable. You can read performance reports, identify trends, and contribute to structured testing plans

Experience working with subscriptions and retention marketing is a plus

AI‑curious and open to leveraging tools that improve efficiency and personalization

Scrappy and hands‑on. Willing to build campaigns, QA flows, edit creative, and execute within Klaviyo and SMS platforms

Responsibilities Email Marketing

Own the email content calendar and lifecycle campaign strategy

Develop weekly campaign briefs, messaging direction, segmentation strategy, and offer positioning

Lead lifecycle flow strategy (welcome, abandoned cart, post‑purchase, winback, etc.) and identify opportunities for optimization

Create structured quarterly testing roadmap (subject lines, segmentation, timing, creative angles, offers)

Manage and direct our email design agency — ensuring clear briefs, strong creative direction, on‑brand messaging, and timely execution

Review and edit agency copy to ensure it reflects our brand voice and resonates deeply with our core customer

Serve as verbal and strategic gatekeeper in collaboration with the Creative Director

Analyze performance data and provide structured insights and recommendations

SMS Marketing

Own execution of SMS campaigns and flows

Support list growth and lead capture optimization

Contribute to ongoing testing and performance improvements

Align SMS messaging with email campaigns and overall lifecycle strategy

Help implement personalization and automation improvements

Push & Direct Mail

Manage push notification scheduling and alignment with campaigns

Support direct mail lifecycle initiatives to improve repeat purchase

Data, Reporting & Retention Growth

Monitor LTV and repeat purchase performance

Contribute to improving RFM segmentation over time

Analyze campaign performance and identify opportunities for optimization

Participate in weekly (transitioning to bi‑weekly) lifecycle performance reviews

Gradually take on increased ownership of retention insights and strategy

Compensation & Benefits This role offers a base salary of $100,000‑$110,000, commensurate with experience.

In addition, this position is eligible for a performance‑based bonus tied to retention and lifecycle growth goals, with an on‑target bonus range of 5‑15% of base salary.

Performance metrics may include:

LTV growth

Repeat purchase rate

RFM improvement

Lifecycle revenue contribution

Execution of structured testing initiatives
