About the Role The
Designer
is based in
U.S.
and responsible for creating commercially viable product designs across high‑volume categories and collections, with a focus on core businesses and trend‑driven capsules. This role conducts fashion and consumer research, interprets trend direction, and delivers seasonal product aligned with client needs. The Designer collaborates closely with internal partners and contributes to presentations and capsule development throughout the design lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Research and identify emerging market and fashion trends; contribute to seasonal trend analysis and presentation materials.
Develop seasonal product across multiple categories, including denim, knits, wovens, sweaters, and accessories.
Manage timelines and deliverables across multiple projects and seasons simultaneously.
Collaborate and communicate with cross‑functional partners across the domestic and international MGF design teams, and engage with the client as needed.
Present design capsules to the client.
Create detailed design sketches and tech packs for capsule collections.
Maintain an organized showroom environment, including working and archive samples.
Qualifications Required
Experience in apparel or accessories design, preferably within a high‑volume or trend‑driven environment.
Strong understanding of fashion trends, color, materials, and consumer behavior.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or equivalent).
Ability to manage multiple timelines and projects concurrently.
Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
Preferred
Experience working with international teams.
Prior experience presenting directly to clients.
Proficiency in AI design software (e.g., The New Black, Canva, or equivalent)
This hybrid role typically requires
two in‑office days per week , although the schedule varies based on business needs. The position also requires up to
1–2 evening calls per week , generally between
9–11pm , to support communication across global teams.
