Job Summary The Video Production Editor is responsible for creating and editing content for all Denver Broncos Productions in addition to operating the Production and Radio/Podcast Studios.
Duties & Responsibilities Create Video Production Content by:
Editing in-stadium hype videos that create fan energy
Being a lead editor on short-form, long-form stories and features
Editing special projects as assigned
Being a part of idea generation, research, writing, creating rundowns, etc. for assigned programming
Committing to exceptional writing and storytelling through visual editing
Ensuring that all content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality
Reviewing completed productions to evaluate execution and incorporating reviews in improving future content
Assisting in the capturing and acquiring of content (recording press conferences, conducting interviews, requesting video from other sources, shooting when assigned, etc.)
Operate the Broncos Production and Radio/Podcast Studios:
Regularly working on productions in the Production and Radio/Podcast Studios
Keeping all studio equipment in good working condition
Contributes to department team efforts by:
Assisting and participating in any department initiatives and activities
Providing feedback to others in the department relative to ideas and execution
Developing professional relationships with Broncos Football and PR staffs as trusted resources for content ideas/development/creation
Understanding priorities of work and the content schedule
Having a professional behavior and attitude, putting team above personal needs and pursuits
Cataloging video footage into CATDV program
Bachelor’s degree in communication, Broadcasting, Journalism or related field
At least 6 years’ experience editing sports related content
Professional level editing expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere)
Preferred Skills & Ability
Commitment to and experience in both short-form and long-form storytelling
Understanding the editorial impact when working for a team or organization
Excellent news judgment and knowledge of Broncos & NFL Football
Ability to work in a high-pressure
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Highly motivated, organized, and ability to take direction under deadlines
Flexibility to travel and work weekends and evening as required
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Candidates moving forward will be required to submit a production reel or link demonstrating their professional work
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary for this position is $64,000 - $77,000.
