Position Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Documentation Specialist to develop, maintain, and manage internal and external documentation across PokerAtlas products and operational processes. This role is responsible for creating clear, accurate, and accessible documentation that supports partner implementations, internal operations, compliance requirements, and product training.
The Documentation Specialist will work closely with Technology, Customer Success, Operations, Payments, and Product teams to ensure that all operational procedures, system workflows, and user documentation are consistent, up-to-date, and aligned with PokerAtlas standards. The ideal candidate excels at organizing complex information into clear, structured materials and thrives in a fast-moving technology environment.
This individual will play a critical role in standardizing company knowledge and supporting scalable growth across PokerAtlas implementations and product offerings.
Role Responsibilities:
Documentation Development: Create and maintain clear, accurate documentation including SOPs, user manuals, implementation guides, training materials, release notes, FAQ’s, onboarding materials and internal knowledge base articles.
Process Documentation: Document operational workflows across departments including Customer Success, Payments, Compliance, Product, and Engineering.
Technical Writing: Translate technical concepts into user-friendly documentation for both internal teams and external partners.
Knowledge Base Management: Maintain centralized documentation repositories and ensure version control and accessibility for internal teams.
Training Material Support: Develop structured training documentation including onboarding guides, instructional materials, and reference sheets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Product Managers, Engineers, Implementation Specialists, and Account Managers to ensure documentation accuracy.
Documentation Standards: Establish and maintain documentation templates, naming conventions, and formatting standards across the organization.
Continuous Improvement: Identify documentation gaps and proactively improve clarity, completeness, and usability of materials.
Compliance Documentation Support: Assist in maintaining documentation required for regulatory compliance, audits, and gaming jurisdiction requirements.
What You’ll Do Internal Documentation & SOP Management:
Develop and maintain SOPs for key company workflows
Document software configuration and implementation processes
Maintain up-to-date operational checklists and deployment guides
Organize internal documentation repositories for easy access
Product & Partner Documentation:
Create user guides and reference documentation for PokerAtlas®, TableCaptain® and related products
Develop customer-facing implementation and training documentation
Support onboarding teams with structured documentation packages
Maintain release notes and product update documentation
Knowledge Management & Organization:
Maintain internal knowledge base and documentation libraries
Ensure consistent formatting and version control across documents
Improve discoverability and usability of internal documentation
Audit and update existing documentation on a scheduled basis
Training Documentation Support:
Develop structured training guides and curriculum
Create step-by-step instructional materials
Support internal and partner training programs
Maintain documentation used in onboarding and certification programs
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience in documentation, technical writing, operations, or knowledge management
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Strong written communication and technical writing skills
Ability to organize complex processes into clear documentation
Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, JIRA, Slack, or similar tools
Experience creating SOPs, user guides, or technical documentation
Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation projects
Strong organizational and information management skills
Experience working in software or technology companies preferred
Experience working with casinos, card rooms, or regulated gaming environments preferred
Familiarity with payments, compliance, or regulated industries a plus
Intimate knowledge of PokerAtlas®, TableCaptain®, and related products a plus
Compensation:
Hourly, Rate DOE, 20–25 hours per week (1099 independent contractor)
