Global Customs and Trade Manager Springs Window Fashions is seeking an experienced Global Customs and Trade Manager to lead our international trade compliance efforts. The role will ensure all inbound and outbound shipments comply with U.S. and Canadian customs laws and codes, oversee third‑party service providers, and drive cost‑effective duty and tariff strategies.

Purpose Responsible for planning, developing, implementing and monitoring standard practices, methods and procedures for all inbound or outbound international shipments in compliance with U.S. and Canada Customs Laws and Codes in effect for Springs Window Fashions and its subsidiaries.

Supervise and manage the activities of third‑party service providers such as customs brokers and trade service providers, ensuring coordinated support of the physical movement of goods across borders at the lowest legal duty and taxation.

Responsibilities

Coordinate HTS determination with third‑party suppliers.

Determine country of origin and solicit documentation with outside vendors.

Manage imported goods valuation, reporting and cost submission/reconciliation.

Ensure proper payment of import duties, tariffs, taxes and fees.

Maintain recordkeeping in accordance with current rules and regulations.

Represent SWF before U.S. and Canadian customs authorities and other government agencies involved in border crossings.

Oversee third‑party service providers and invoice payments.

Implement C‑TPAT and other security initiatives related to customs and shipping.

Apply and administer duty preferential programs such as USGR, USMCA, KORUS, etc.

Manage anti‑dumping and countervailing duty entries and related matters.

Enforce customs broker business rules and manage permits, licensing and admissibility controls.

Validate, reconcile and verify entry transactions.

Develop tariff and duty strategies for financial impact mitigation.

Analyze and report on overall duty and tariff impact.

Monitor pre‑ and post‑entry filing and provide reporting.

Major Areas of Responsibility/Tasks/Duties

Monitor compliance of entry data/transactions.

Analyze deliverables from third‑party trade services and provide feedback.

Track and analyze metric data for U.S. and Canadian imports and exports.

Generate standardized and ad‑hoc reporting related to U.S. and Canadian imports and exports.

Publish changes and amendments to custom broker business rules and trade services handbooks.

Continuously monitor origin and classification to minimize duty impact.

Manage daily and monthly ACH draws to determine final duty amounts.

Conduct regular meetings to resolve issues related to third‑party service providers.

Maintain an updated origin database within GTM and ERP systems.

Facilitate and complete annual FTA and value reconciliation process.

Provide guidance to plant operations on customs compliance.

Coordinate product change requests with support teams and suppliers.

Manage FTA and Entry Verification GTM software modules.

Support finance teams with duty trend analysis.

Consult internally on duty/tariff payments.

Requirements Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree required; Business Administration, Finance, International Relations, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.

Master’s degree or licensed broker preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to influence others.

Ability to plan, delegate, organize and prioritize work within tight deadlines.

Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Access, Excel, SharePoint and Word.

Outstanding mathematical aptitude, critical thinking, and problem‑solving capability.

5+ years of experience managing customs and import/export activities for medium to large importers/manufacturers.

5+ years of experience managing import/export activities of third‑party service providers.
