Manager, Tax Strategy
We are seeking a Manager, Tax Strategy to join American Tower's Global Tax Strategy team. This team forecasts and manages global cash taxes, develops and implements tax strategy opportunities, oversees audit risk, evaluates the tax implications of legislative changes, and supports mergers and acquisition activities. As a member of the team, you will collaborate cross functionally to ensure cash taxes are effectively managed across all jurisdictions. What You Can Offer Us Evaluate the tax implications of global legislative changes and emerging policy initiatives, advising on potential organizational impacts. Identify, develop, and execute global tax planning strategies to optimize cash taxes and support business objectives. Monitor global tax audits, manage inquiries from foreign tax authorities, and help drive resolution strategies. Provide tax structuring insights for internal reorganizations and intercompany funding activities, partnering closely with cross functional stakeholders. Assist with the preparation of global transfer pricing documentation and ensure compliance with local and international requirements. Assess potential mergers and acquisitions by analyzing key tax considerations and risks. Support the annual global cash tax forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and alignment with broader financial planning. Support quarterly real estate investment trust compliance and testing requirements. Conduct in depth tax research using resources such as BNA Tax Management Portfolios. Perform additional related responsibilities to support the team. What You Need to Succeed Bachelor's degree in either law or accounting. Post-graduate degree in either Tax or Law. 4 - 6 years' experience in a corporate tax department, law firm, or public accounting firm preferred. Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint experience required. Strong organization, planning, communication and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks for yourself and a team to meet requirements and deadlines. Self-motivated; able to work both independently and within a group. Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results. Excellent strategic and problem-solving skills. Excellent tax legal research and analysis skills. Strong leadership skills; ability to drive and motivate a team to achieve results. Approximately 5% of travel may be required to support the position's responsibilities.
