
Medical Insurance Collections Specialist (IN OFFICE)

As a Collections Specialist here at Aveanna, you would be responsible for following up with invoices that have been sent to payers but have not yet been paid. You would also be responsible for researching denials and converting them.
We are looking or someone who can confidently reach out to commercial insurance companies, navigate portals, and provide organized, thorough, and ethical work. This role is extremely important to the company, as it ensures we receive the funds needed to stay operating and providing care to our patients!

Competitive hourly pay starting at $19.00 per hour + weekly stipend
The Right Fit Is:
Able to process a minimum of 5 claims per hour
Able to manage a portfolio of payers, ensuring collections, aging and denials are being processed in a timely fashion
Comfortable with assisting with billing efforts by eliminating denials and keeping payer rules up to date
Able to meet daily, monthly and quarterly Collections goals that have been set by management
Onsite Operational Support:
In addition to primary job duties, this role supports branch operations and compliance by:
Maintaining an organized office environment
Monitoring enteral formula storage temperatures per safety standards
Conducting routine safety checks (including fire extinguisher inspections)
Managing inventory of supplies and equipment
Maintaining clean and dirty equipment areas per health protocols
Assisting customers, vendors, and surveyors during visits
Position Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years experience in a call center environment
Minimum of 1 years experience in the medical industry/ familiarity with medical terminology (preferably with DME and Home Healthcare)
High-school diploma or GED
