
Community Ambassador (Part-time)

Job Overview
The Community Ambassador position works independently, and without direct supervision. Possesses strong communication, telephone, and customer service skills. Detailed oriented and able to multitask. Meets and greets residents. Able to understand and react to emergency response and access control procedures; monitors and operates electronic security control systems; and accurately maintains daily logs, records and forms.
Your Responsibilities
Walk property once every two hours including each building’s common areas.
Monitor security cameras.
Respond to all emergencies and follow the emergency procedures handbook.
Help enforce all rules and regulations of the property.
During construction and moving hours, assist getting contractors signed in and to the appropriate unit.
Monitor front doors and elevators during move in/outs.
Watch the front desk when the front desk associate is on break.
Assist residents with packages, luggage, and any special items.
Additional Responsibilities
Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards.
Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.
Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervisor of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.
May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.
Must work full-scheduled shift and be full present and engaged at work.
Education, Experience, And Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
2+ years of previous sentinel experience preferred.
Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office 360 required.
Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screen required.
Knowledge, Skills, And Proficiencies
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrates strong and effective customer service and relationship building skills.
Demonstrate good common sense, sound judgment, and a high ethical bar.
Ability to work independently; capable to take ownership of assigned tasks and to anticipate work requirements.
Team player with collaborative attitude.
Physical Requirements And Work Environment
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to work outside in warm and cold temperatures for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 lbs. and up to 100 lbs.
Reach with hands and arms.
Handle and grasp objects and equipment.
Repeat various motions with the wrist, hands and fingers.
Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs.
Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions.
Ability to respond to emergencies in a calm and timely manner.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Hours over and above normal office hours will occur, including evenings, holidays, and some weekends. Schedule is subject to change based on business needs.
Travel
May drive company/HOA-owned vehicle around property.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and the minimum essential coverage insurance for Missouri and must not have a record of a revoked or suspended license as determined upon review of the motor vehicle driving report or record in accordance with applicable law.
What We Offer Part-time, non-exempt associates working 20-30 hours per week, will be eligible for part-time benefits to include your choice of dental, vision, and more. Part-time associates are not eligible for time off benefits, paid holidays and a 401k with company match.
Compensation $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
