
Event Techology Sales Manager - NYC

Reports To:
Director of Event Technology and KVL Management
The Event Technology Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth across KVL’s Pier Sixty Collection venues. This role oversees client development, proposal creation, budgeting, and project execution while maintaining KVL’s high standards of service and production excellence. The position includes sales, service, operational, and administrative responsibilities as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to incoming inquiries and develop customized AV proposals aligned with client needs and company standards
Negotiate budgets with clients to secure business while maintaining production quality and profitability
Maximize revenue through strategic sales initiatives and account management
Cultivate new business opportunities while strengthening existing client relationships
Specify appropriate equipment and manage logistics to ensure successful event execution
Oversee job budgets to increase revenue and effectively control expenses, including labor and sub-rentals
Reconcile job costs and prepare projects for billing
Attend KVL and client meetings as required
Complete all required paperwork and administrative documentation
Qualifications
4+ years of Audio-Visual and/or event sales and project management experience
Experience in luxury hotel and hospitality venues, conventions, associations, trade shows, corporate events, concerts, exhibitions, and festivals
Knowledge of current AV production, including lighting, sound, and projection systems a plus
Proven track record of business development and established professional contacts
Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to perform effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Proficiency with basic computer applications
Ability to communicate goals, expectations, and results clearly to individuals and small groups
Strong networking skills and ability to build relationships across organizations
Adaptability to changing work demands and a proactive approach to improving operations
