
Product Designer - Creo

Waltonen Engineering is actively seeking a Product Designer to join our team!
Responsibilities
Utilize Creo to prepare design layouts on complex units and mechanisms for various defense vehicles
Make design computations as required
Prepare general specifications, such as bills of materials
Collaborate with engineers, detailers, and other designers to develop innovative solutions
Develop creative drawings from design objectives established by others
Use manual or computer skills to complete design drawings
Ensure all customer specifications and expectations are met
Work overtime as needed to meet customer requirements
Onsite Creo training will be provided to candidates without previous experience
Qualifications
2+ years experience in Product Design
Proficiency using a sketch-based CAD software
Experience in modeling from assembly drawings/packages
Sheet Metal and/or structural design experience
Solid Modeling and assembly design experience
Analytical ability to recognize and solve design and mechanical problems
Oral and written communication skills
Must be a team player with strong collaborative skills
Willingness to work overtime as needed, with the ability to adapt to fluctuating workloads
Availability to work between 40 to 60 hours per week based on project demands
Must be willing to work remotely on weekends on an as-needed basis to meet customer demands
Only United States citizens can be considered
Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Associate Degreein Vehicle Design,Product Development, or related degree
Experience with Creo 3D CAD software is highly preferred
Experience in the military/defense industry
Familiarity with Teamcenter or Vismockup is a plus
Powertrain, chassis, or body design
