Leasing Manager

to join their

Beverly Hills, Michigan

team. This is a high-impact role responsible for driving occupancy, leading leasing efforts, and delivering an exceptional resident experience within a multifamily community.

Position Overview The Leasing Manager oversees all aspects of the leasing lifecycle, from prospect engagement and tours through move-in and renewal. This role blends sales leadership, customer service excellence, operational coordination, and marketing strategy to ensure strong occupancy rates and resident satisfaction. The ideal is a motivated sales professional with strong market awareness, leadership capability, and a customer-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute all leasing activities, including touring prospects in model and market-ready units and maintaining a strong closing ratio.

Conduct consistent follow-up with prospective residents through the point of sale in alignment with company policies.

Review applications, prepare applicant files, calculate move-in costs, and coordinate approvals or denials.

Manage the full move-in and renewal lifecycle, ensuring compliance with renter’s insurance and lease requirements.

Maintain accurate records of prospect traffic, communications, and lease activity within property management and CRM systems.

Monitor lease expirations and proactively support retention efforts.

Prepare and submit weekly occupancy and performance reports to leadership.

Conduct ongoing market research, including monthly market surveys, competitor analysis, and pricing comparisons.

Plan and execute marketing initiatives, outreach campaigns, social media engagement, and resident communications.

Inspect vacant units and common areas to ensure readiness and identify potential liabilities.

Support resident engagement efforts, including planning and attending community events.

Train and mentor leasing staff, conduct regular marketing meetings, and promote a positive and performance-driven team environment.

Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and all applicable local, state, and federal laws.

Qualifications

Minimum 1+ year of onsite Leasing Consultant or Assistant Manager experience, or comparable sales/customer service background.

Strong closing skills with demonstrated ability to meet occupancy and revenue targets.

Knowledge of multifamily housing operations and leasing best practices preferred.

Experience with Yardi or similar property management software strongly preferred.

Understanding of Fair Housing guidelines and regulatory compliance.
