Key Responsibilities
Review project plans, specifications, and design documents to develop detailed cost estimates
Lead
cost estimation, budgeting, bid leveling, and value engineering
efforts
Develop and manage preconstruction schedules and risk assessments
Coordinate with design teams in
design-build and design-assist
environments
Prepare and present estimates, budgets, and value options to clients and stakeholders
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
Partner with project teams to align scope, budget, and schedule prior to construction
Utilize industry-leading software tools to manage estimating and preconstruction workflows
Provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction to preconstruction team members
Requirements Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
Construction Management, Civil Engineering , or related field
10+ years
of construction experience with
5+ years in preconstruction
Strong expertise in:
Cost estimating, budgeting, bid leveling, and value engineering
Project planning, scheduling, coordination, and risk management
Experience with
commercial, industrial, or manufacturing projects
(highly preferred)
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation abilities
Excellent communication skills and client-facing experience
Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards
Proficiency in construction software including:
Destini Estimator
Procore
OST
Bluebeam
BuildingConnected
Pipeline Suite
