About The Opportunity We are seeking a Strategic Account Manager to lead one of our most significant partnerships: a major national retail account with broad reach and high visibility. This role is responsible for driving growth, strengthening executive‑level relationships, and delivering exceptional value through strategic planning, cross‑functional collaboration, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and hands‑on account leadership. You will serve as the primary point of contact for this key customer, ensuring alignment between their business objectives and our solutions while identifying opportunities to expand and deepen the partnership.
Remote role, but applicants must be based in Arkansas—preferably in the northwest corner.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic sales planning: Establishing strategies, objectives, and action plans for the customer’s business.
Account value: Maximize sales revenue and margins tied to annual goals and quota.
Asset/expense management: Responsible use of company equipment to meet budget requirements and key focus areas.
Account planning: Develop and understand the customer’s business needs, business strategy and key expansion and growth initiatives – Establish strategies, objectives, and action plans to align with these goals, and how ORBIS can assist to drive operational efficiencies, reduce cost, achieve sustainability goals and align strategically on other ways to improve supply chain goals. Identify key decision makers and cross‑functional stakeholders to drive alignment and grow the strategic partnership between ORBIS and this top retail customer.
Account penetration: Broaden presence at customer; convert competitive business, secure new business by promoting new products and services by leveraging reusable packaging in the system. Identify the sales needs, develop new relationships and opportunities through prospecting and lead follow‑up within customer locations (distribution centers, warehouses, in‑store applications, etc.), and collaborate with business development. Additionally, gain an understanding of new markets and applications that align with ORBIS strategies.
Synergistic team selling: Assist others in geographic locations to secure sales as new product opportunities surface, channel information to appropriate personnel.
SAM to drive relationships and ensure customers’ corporate strategies are understood so that ORBIS can evaluate where we can support solutions to the customers.
Coordinate with local RSC SAMs when appropriate to best serve the customer and promote more effective relationships and service levels to the customer.
Customer visits and on‑site consultation to drive solutions.
Qualifications

25–50% travel is anticipated, and 8 face‑to‑face meetings per month – through HQ meetings, in‑store interaction with store associates and store managers, and DC/warehouse key contacts.
