Historic Preservation Sales Specialist
Inspekt AI, Boston, MA, United States
About the job Historic Preservation Sales Specialist
Description
We are seeking a
Historic Preservation Sales Specialist
to represent and grow our preservation client portfolio by developing relationships with owners, architects, preservation professionals, and public‑sector stakeholders responsible for historic buildings. This role focuses on identifying opportunities, guiding clients through complex decision‑making processes, and delivering solutions that align with preservation standards, regulatory requirements, and project goals.
Inspekt AI is transforming how building owners and operators detect, manage, and prevent façade and envelope failures. Our drone‑powered inspections and AI‑driven analysis help commercial real estate owners, property managers, REITs, and facilities teams identify issues early—before minor defects turn into six‑figure repairs or safety risks.
We work with complex, high‑value assets and sell into technical, risk‑aware buyers. This is not transactional sales—its consultative, problem‑focused, and data‑driven.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage relationships with owners and stewards of historic properties, preservation architects, consultants, and public agencies
Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities for historic preservation services
Communicate the value of our services in a clear, accurate, and client‑focused manner
Support clients in understanding regulatory frameworks, preservation standards, and project requirements
Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and project scopes in collaboration with internal teams
Participate in site visits, stakeholder meetings, and planning discussions
Address client questions and concerns related to cost, timelines, compliance, and preservation integrity
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and client interactions
Required Qualifications
Experience in business development or sales within construction, architecture, engineering, preservation, or related professional services
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
Ability to navigate complex approval processes and multi‑stakeholder environments
Understanding of—or willingness to learn—historic preservation standards and regulatory considerations
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional environment
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with historic preservation projects or adaptive reuse work
Existing relationships within the preservation, architectural, or municipal sectors
Experience selling professional or technical services
Performance Expectations
Consistent development of qualified sales opportunities
Contribution to revenue growth and client retention
Accurate project scoping and alignment with internal delivery teams
Professional representation of the company with clients and partners
What We Offer
Sell a differentiated, real‑world solution solving expensive and visible problems
Work directly with experienced founders and sales leadership
Opportunity to grow into Senior SDR or Account Executive roles
Help build the outbound motion from the ground up
Remote flexibility with a high‑trust, high‑ownership culture
