
Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer is a visual story teller. The individual is responsible for translating complex ideas, systems, and mission-driven initiatives into clear, compelling visual stories. This role exists to strengthen EKC’s products, platforms, and brand by creating graphical content that communicates meaning at a glance — turning strategy into symbols, data into visuals, and narratives into icons, illustrations, and layouts that experientially resonate with diverse audiences. The individual is not simply executing design requests, but actively shaping how EKC’s work is understood, remembered, and shared across ecosystems that include industry, education, government, and community partners.
Responsibilities
Design original graphics, icons, illustrations, infographics, and visual systems that support EKC’s products, programs, and mission
Translate abstract, technical, or systems‑level concepts into clear visual narratives
Collaborate with Pillar Leaders, Product Owners, and Cluster Operatives to understand intent and shape visual solutions
Develop visual assets for digital platforms, presentations, reports, learning tools, and external communications
Create reusable visual components and design patterns that scale across EKC initiatives
Ensure all visual content aligns with EKC’s brand standards, tone, and strategic goals
Participate early in project planning to influence how ideas are visually expressed
Maintain organized design files, version control, and documentation
Stay current on design tools, visual communication trends, and best practices
Respond to internal requests in a timely, collaborative, and professional manner
Protect the confidentiality of client and company information
Develop weekly Progress, Problems, Plans (P3) report
Support cross‑functional teams as needed to advance EKC initiatives
