Job Description About Us We are a well-established, locally owned commercial roofing contractor with a strong reputation for quality workmanship, integrity, and long-term client relationships. Position Summary The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business, maintaining existing client relationships, and driving revenue growth within the commercial roofing market. This is a field-based role focused on prospecting, relationship development, site visits, and closing contracts.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and develop new commercial roofing opportunities within assigned territory

Build and maintain relationships with property managers, facility managers, building owners, and general contractors

Conduct roof inspections and site visits to assess project needs

Prepare and present proposals, bids, and service agreements

Follow up consistently on open bids and sales leads

Maintain accurate records of sales activity in CRM system

Collaborate with estimating and production teams to ensure accurate project scoping

Attend networking events and industry functions to generate leads

Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets

Qualifications

2+ years of outside sales experience (construction or roofing industry preferred)

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals

Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

Self-motivated and highly organized

Ability to climb ladders and access commercial rooftops safely

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred Experience

Commercial roofing knowledge (TPO, PVC, EPDM, metal, modified bitumen systems)

Experience working with property managers and commercial real estate professionals

Familiarity with reading blueprints and project specifications
