The State of New Hampshire, Department of Information, CIO Office - Web Application Development has a full-time vacancy for Systems Development Specialist V - Salesforce Administrator

Summary:

As the Salesforce administrator executes day-to-day configuration, user management and enhancement operations as directed by the lead Salesforce administrator. This will include translation of programming functions into information systems solutions to achieve statewide objectives related to the Salesforce platform. Develop solutions to monitor environments and automate processes.

YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS : Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

Equivalent combination of 8.5 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Education and experience must be in computer science, computer programming, systems analysis, computer networking, or related field, with at least two years of experience performing systems analysis.

License/Certification:

Valid driver's license or access to transportation

PREFERRED WORK TRAITS:

Minimum two (2) years Salesforce development experience. Salesforce Administrator experience preferred. Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality. Strong data management abilities, SQL experience preferred.

Technical knowledge of Salesforce Lightning. Technical knowledge and understanding of relational database design. Ability to communicate effectively with various departments and division representatives. Ability to reduce problems to basic details. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, superiors, associates and with representatives from other state departments.

Responsibilities:

Provide administration support of internal and external customer-facing Salesforce environments, especially related to customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects, and workflow.

Promote solutions through the Salesforce environments as required by development and administrative teams.

Serve as technical expert on Salesforce in developing specifications, process flows, application design, reusable components, application configuration and testing.

Analyze and prepare impact assessments of new requirements and system updates on all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes.

Work within a team of internal and external Salesforce developers, architects, and project managers to deliver innovative solutions and plan for short- and long-term development and maintenance of the State's Salesforce infrastructure.

Configure and maintain custom objects, record types, fields, page layouts, formulas, data validation rules, triggers, custom workflows, approval processes, installed packages, etc. within Salesforce.

Maintain an understanding of the Salesforce.com platform and technical components, including technical data model, integration between components and impacts of process and technical designs with upstream and downstream processes.

Follow defined coding standards and participate in code reviews during projects to ensure quality and appropriate design patterns are followed.

Design and develop solutions to facilitate administrative tasks and monitoring.
