About the Role

The Executive Director will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and overall management of the foundation, overseeing operations, financial stewardship, governance processes and resource development to ensure the organization effectively advances its mission and strategic priorities. The Executive Director will collaborate closely with the board to strengthen and implement a sustainable business model, expand and diversify revenue through strategic donor engagement and fundraising initiatives, and guide the organization’s communications and marketing strategy to increase awareness and support. The role will also cultivate a positive and high-performing internal culture, maximize the effectiveness of a small staff team, strengthen board engagement and development, and build partnerships that mobilize resources to strengthen the nonprofit sector and expand opportunity within the community.

The ideal candidate will bring significant leadership experience within nonprofit, philanthropic or mission-driven organizations, with demonstrated success overseeing organizational strategy, fundraising and operational management. They will have strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with donors, board members and community partners to expand impact and resources. The candidate will demonstrate sound financial and governance knowledge, excellent communication and strategic thinking abilities, and a track record of fostering collaborative team environments while advancing equity and opportunity through community-focused initiatives.
