Job Summary
Per‑Diem AM Shift – Approximate Pay Range: $25.88 - $35.82.
Under direct supervision of the Physical or Occupational Therapist, the Physical Therapist Aide is responsible for assisting in the preparation for and treatment of patients, setting up and cleaning up patient care areas, and completing clerical tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Set up and clean up patient care areas
Assist therapists with patient treatments as delegated
Perform maintenance therapy under general supervision as assigned by the therapist
Communicate with the therapist regarding patient status
Manage and maintain equipment inventory
Perform clerical tasks as assigned
Attend staff meetings
Demonstrate flexibility to meet department and hospital needs
Participate in unit growth and department education
Takes initiative and responsibility for assigned tasks
Other Duties
Perform wound care as delegated by the PT
Participate in clinical instruction of affiliating students
Perform other job‑related duties as assigned by the Director, Rehabilitation/Occupational Services
Required Qualification
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Sexual Harassment / Bullying Prevention Certification required (obtained within 1 month from hire)
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum one year of hospital Physical Therapy Aide experience or equivalent preferred
NO referrals or candidates accepted from recruiters or agencies
Experience Minimum 1 Year
