As an Exhibiting Consultant, you are the "face" of OnePoint Exhibits and the primary point of contact for our clients. This is a dynamic role where you will drive growth by developing new business opportunities while simultaneously managing the end-to-end execution of exhibit and service projects.

The Trade Show Environment: The exhibit world is fast-paced, deadline-driven, and occasionally chaotic—it requires a calm head and a quick pivot. We find that professionals with backgrounds in trade shows, event management, or hospitality thrive here because they understand the urgency of "show-ready" deadlines and the importance of seamless execution under pressure.

Who You Are: We are looking for an entrepreneurial professional with high emotional intelligence and a design-forward mindset. The ideal candidate is a technologically savvy problem-solver who can balance the art of relationship building with the precision of project management.

Key Responsibilities Business Development & Growth

Prospecting: Identify and research high-potential leads through active networking, LinkedIn engagement, and "walking the floor" at industry trade shows.

Relationship Building: Nurture new and existing partnerships by serving as a "Trade Show Expert," providing consultative recommendations that drive client success.

Strategic Expansion: Deeply understand client programs to identify opportunities to support additional departments and service needs.

Concept to Creation: Lead client "Discovery Meetings," collaborate on exhibit designs, and present compelling proposals that align with client visions.

Project Oversight: Manage the full project lifecycle, including creating accurate proposals, establishing timelines, and coordinating pre-show mock-ups and previews.

Service Excellence: Act as the primary point of contact for product orders, training sessions, and client showroom tours.

Execution & Advocacy

Show-Floor Support: Provide on-call troubleshooting during installations and dismantles to ensure a flawless "show-ready" experience for every client.

Post-Show Management: Close the loop by reconciling job costs, gathering client feedback, and resolving any post-event claims or billing inquiries.

Qualifications

Experience – Background in B2B sales or project management.

Desired Background – Trade show or event management expertise is highly regarded.

Precision & Organization: You have a "design eye" for branding and structures, but you also enjoy the "heads-down" work of quoting, managing timelines, and ensuring mathematical accuracy in budgets.

T ech-Savviness: You are comfortable navigating Microsoft 365, CRM platforms, and design/quoting software to keep projects moving efficiently.

Work Schedule & Flexibility

Monday – Thursday: 8 to 10-hour days in-office at our headquarters in Grand Rapids, MI.

Flex-Fridays: Our building is closed on Fridays, giving you the option to work from home.

Event Support: As an EC, you are the heartbeat of our events. This role includes being available for "show-floor" support during peak trade show hours (including some evenings/weekends) to ensure our clients’ success.

Travel & Engagement

Client Visits: You’ll occasionally visit our West Michigan clients and prospects at their facilities, building the face-to-face relationships that drive our success.

Industry Events: Expand your horizons with travel to trade shows and specialized training events outside of West Michigan approximately 1–3 times per year.

Local Networking: Stay connected with the local business community through regular attendance at West Michigan networking events.
