Position Overview The Employee Relations Partner is responsible for managing complex employee relations matters and leading workplace investigations across multiple areas of the business. This position balances neutral fact‑finding with strategic advisory support to leaders, HR partners, and executive stakeholders. This position operates in a fast‑paced, high‑risk environment with heavy performance management activity, regulatory exposure, and frequent escalation.

Responsibilities

Independently plan, conduct, and document investigations involving allegations of harassment, discrimination, policy violations, misconduct, ethics concerns, and performance‑related disputes.

Conduct fact‑finding, including interviews and evidence collection. Analyze evidence, assess credibility, and produce clear, defensible investigation reports with findings and recommendations.

Ensure investigations meet legal, regulatory, and internal policy standards across multiple entities.

Partner with legal and compliance to manage risk, preserve privilege where appropriate, and support litigation readiness.

Serve as a trusted advisor to HR Generalists and leaders on corrective action, performance management, and termination decisions.

Guide leaders through complex performance issues, including documentation standards, discipline, and consistency across employers.

Provide consultation on employee complaints, engagement concerns, and conflict resolution.

Oversee company adherence to ADA regulations. Lead interactive discussion and related activity. Provide guidance and support and leaders throughout the accommodation process.

Advise leaders on leave of absence issues with consistent, policy‑driven guidance, assuring company compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Identify systematic trends and root causes, recommending preventative or corrective interventions.

Build data‑driven communication, education, and training programs to drive human resource teammate and leader competencies aimed at mitigating employment risks.

Assist with policy interpretation and decision‑making processes related to regulated activities, such as leave of absence administration, state and municipal paid leave regulations, and state specific background screening regulations.

Navigate varying employer policies, contracts, and regulatory requirements while maintaining consistency and fairness.

Communicate effectively with leaders ranging from frontline management to executive teams.

Balance neutrality with practical business guidance in a high‑volume environment.

Qualifications Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a closely related field. Equivalent practical experience may be considered as substitute for formal education.

4-7 years of experience in employee relations, workplace investigations, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications

Workplace Investigation Certification (e.g. AWI).

Experience in healthcare, MSO, PE‑backed, or multi‑entity organizations.

Experience supporting litigation, agency responses, or audits.
