Senior Construction Superintendent

Seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead on-site execution of large-scale multifamily and mixed-use developments construction. This role is responsible for overall field operations, safety, quality, and schedule control from site start through final turnover. The Superintendent serves as the primary on-site leader and manages all field personnel and subcontractor activities.
Core Responsibilities
Lead daily construction operations from pre-construction through project closeout
Direct and mentor field teams including Superintendents, Assistants, Foremen, and subcontractors
Manage project schedules, sequencing, manpower, and material flow
Enforce safety programs, environmental compliance, and jobsite standards
Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and quality control efforts
Review drawings and specifications to ensure accurate field execution
Track progress, productivity, and field documentation (logs, photos, reports)
Conduct subcontractor coordination meetings and resolve field issues proactively
Serve as the primary on-site contact with inspectors, consultants, vendors, and ownership teams
Support unit readiness, punch lists, and final acceptance activities
Required Background
Associate degree or equivalent construction experience
6+ years of superintendent-level experience in multifamily or mixed-use construction
Strong understanding of architectural, structural, civil, MEP, and fire systems
OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and stormwater compliance training
Valid driver's license and ability to travel as projects require
Key Skills
Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
Excellent communication with field crews and external stakeholders
Ability to read and interpret construction documents and schedules
Solid planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills
Proficient with construction management software and MS Office
Work Environment
Predominantly field-based role on active construction sites
Requires walking, climbing, lifting, and working in varying outdoor conditions
Must consistently follow safety and PPE requirements
