Corporate Tax Manager (Hybrid) / $$ / NOT Public accounting // Real Estate, Asset Management / CPA required

Salary: $130,000 - $170,000 per year

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join our team in the Real Estate industry. This is a permanent role that will see you working with a diverse and dedicated team of professionals. You will play a critical role in managing and overseeing all aspects of our corporate tax functions. This includes partnering with private equity, managing partner transfers, and maintaining audit readiness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing preparation and review of all US federal, state, and local partnership and corporate income tax returns.

Responsibilities

Manage the preparation and review of all US federal, state, and local partnership and corporate income tax returns.

Partner with private equity to strategize and implement tax planning initiatives.

Manage partner transfers and ensure all tax implications are appropriately addressed.

Maintain audit readiness by ensuring all tax documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

File personal property tax returns and ensure compliance with all state and local tax laws.

Provide leadership and guidance to the tax team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

Stay abreast of tax law changes and ensure the company is in compliance with all tax regulations.

Work closely with other departments to provide tax advice and support on business initiatives.

Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the mortgage industry.

A CPA designation is a must.

Proficient in k-1s and experience with managing partner transfers.

Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws as they apply to corporations.

Proven experience in managing the preparation and review of all US federal, state, and local partnership and corporate income tax returns.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
