Key Account Manager for Strategic Accounts - Distribution Transformers

A Snapshot of Your Day As the Key Account Manager for Strategic Accounts, you will serve as the single commercial owner and strategic interface between Siemens Energy and some of our largest and most critical Distribution Transformers customers in North America. You will be fully dedicated to developing, protecting, and expanding these accounts. This role requires strong executive presence, disciplined commercial execution, and close coordination with factories, operations, engineering, and senior leadership. This is a high‑visibility position with direct impact on revenue, margin, and long‑term strategic positioning.

How You’ll Make An Impact

Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for designated strategic accounts, ensuring strong customer alignment and engagement

Develop and execute multi‑year account growth strategies to expand market share and deepen long‑term partnerships

Build and sustain relationships across executive, procurement, engineering, and operations functions

Secure preferred supplier status and negotiate long‑term agreements that strengthen strategic positioning

Own and deliver order intake, revenue, and margin objectives for assigned accounts

Lead pricing strategy and commercial alignment in coordination with manufacturing facilities

Ensure disciplined contract terms, effective negotiations, and proactive commercial risk mitigation

Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting transparency

Align production capacity and delivery expectations with customer requirements

Proactively escalate and resolve supply chain, quality, or execution‑related challenges

Prepare structured account performance reviews for senior leadership

Provide actionable market intelligence and competitive insights to support strategic decision‑making

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required; MBA preferred

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical sales or strategic account management

Experience with transformers or electrical distribution equipment strongly preferred

Proven track record managing large, complex customer accounts

Strong negotiation and contract management expertise

Solid financial and commercial acumen, including pricing strategy, margin management, and risk assessment

Executive‑level written and verbal communication skills

Highly organized with disciplined account planning and execution capabilities

Self‑directed professional with the ability to influence cross‑functionally without direct authority

Strong ownership mindset with accountability for results

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer‑sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
