Tuesday–Saturday Full-Time

This is not a desk job. This is a hands‑on, active, on-your‑feet role for someone who likes to move, lift, organize, and stay busy. If you enjoy physical work, helping people, and seeing the direct impact of your effort at the end of each shift, this could be the right fit for you.
What You’ll Do
Be the First Point of Contact
Welcome and assist donors and shoppers at the loading dock, on the sales floor, and over the phone
Clearly communicate donation guidelines and store policies
Regularly help load and unload furniture, appliances, building materials, and home goods
Provide cashier coverage as needed
Keep the Store Moving
Work closely with team members to create a smooth donor, shopper, and volunteer experience
Track donation activity in the acceptance area
Capture commercial donor leads for follow‑up
Conduct virtual inventory checks and assist with social media support

Prepare and Merchandise Donations
Inspect donated items and determine sellability
Sort, clean, price, label, and stage merchandise
Move and arrange furniture and materials on the sales floor
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment
Assist with recycling or disposal of unsellable items
This Role Is Physically Active This Position Requires
Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds
Standing and walking for extended periods
Moving furniture, appliances, cabinetry, and building materials
Working in a fast‑paced retail warehouse environment

Requirements What You Bring
Commitment to the Habitat for Humanity mission
Strong communication skills and comfort working with diverse customers and volunteers
Ability to multitask in a busy, team‑oriented environment
Comfort using technology including MS Office, Teams, and phone-based apps
Retail experience preferred but not required
Knowledge of building materials and hardware preferred but not required
Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation
High school diploma or equivalent
