Your Team The IT Asset Management (ITAM) Lead is a senior individual contributor responsible for executing and optimizing the enterprise IT Asset Management program across hardware, software, cloud, and SaaS assets. This role ensures accurate asset inventories, lifecycle discipline, cost optimization, and compliance with regulatory and risk requirements through hands‑on execution and strong cross‑functional collaboration.

Location Newark, NJ hybrid (3 days/week in office)

What You Can Expect on a Typical Day

Execute and maintain end‑to‑end IT asset lifecycle processes from acquisition through retirement

Serve as the ITAM subject matter expert, providing guidance to Technology, Finance, Procurement, Risk, and Security teams

Maintain accurate and complete asset records aligned to CMDB and lifecycle standards

Proactively manage End‑of‑Life (EOL) and End‑of‑Support (EOS) risks and drive remediation activities

Perform software license reconciliation, compliance assessments, and optimization activities

Support software publisher audits, renewals, and true‑up efforts with defensible data

Ensure accurate tracking and governance of hardware assets, including secure disposal

Monitor and remediate asset data quality issues, including gaps, duplicates, and misclassifications

Support financial processes such as capitalization, depreciation, and chargeback/showback through reliable asset data

Execute ITAM controls aligned to regulatory and risk frameworks (e.g., SOX, NYDFS, NIST)

Provide audit evidence and support internal and external audit inquiries

Act as a hands‑on functional owner and power user of ITAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow HAM/SAM)

Produce operational and executive‑level reporting on asset posture, compliance, and risk

Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across ITAM processes and tooling

What You Will Need

Proven experience in IT Asset Management, Software Asset Management, or related technology operations

Strong hands‑on experience with enterprise ITAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow HAM/SAM)

Solid understanding of asset lifecycle management, licensing, and compliance requirements

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and influence across teams without direct authority

Skills & Competencies

IT Asset Management & end‑to‑end lifecycle expertise

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

Cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder influence

Continuous improvement mindset

ITAM tools proficiency (e.g., ServiceNow HAM/SAM)

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $114,500.00 to $188,900.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
