$105,000 – $125,000 annually.
Overview Reliance One, Inc. is hiring a motivated, relationship-driven Territory Sales Representative to lead sales growth across the Midwestern United States. This region includes a diverse mix of food processors, industrial manufacturers, and consumer goods producers, making it a prime market for innovative flexible packaging solutions.
The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience in flexible packaging and a strong understanding of the Midwest’s manufacturing culture, customer expectations, and competitive landscape.
Key Responsibilities Territory & Account Management
Manage and expand a multi‑state Midwest territory, with travel to key markets such as Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, and surrounding areas.
Build strong, trust‑based relationships with purchasing teams, engineers, plant managers, and executives across the assigned territory.
Possess a deep understanding of regional market dynamics, including food & beverage, meat and dairy processing, and industrial packaging.
Sales Execution
Identify, pursue, and close opportunities for flexible packaging products including films, laminations, pouches, and custom‑engineered solutions.
Conduct on‑site customer visits, plant walk‑throughs, and technical discussions to support product selection and application development.
Partner with internal teams — customer service, engineering, and production — to ensure accurate quoting, smooth project launch, and ongoing customer satisfaction.
Strategic Growth
Create and execute a territory growth plan tailored to the Midwest’s unique customer base and competitive environment.
Monitor regional trends such as sustainability initiatives, automation, material preferences, and regulatory changes affecting packaging.
Reporting & Administration
Maintain accurate CRM records, including pipeline updates, visit reports, and account activity.
Provide regular sales forecasts and communicate progress toward territory goals.
Qualifications Required
5–7 years of sales experience in flexible packaging, converting, films, or related materials.
Strong understanding of packaging applications and manufacturing processes common in the Midwest.
Proven success in territory management and new business development.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Midwest.
Preferred
Experience selling into food processing, consumer goods, and industrial manufacturing.
Technical aptitude with packaging machinery, materials, or converting processes.
CRM proficiency (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
