Position Summary

The Renewal Services Representative provides operational support to broker partners to facilitate renewal processing, retention execution, and accurate installation of carrier products for existing small group accounts. This role focuses on coordinating renewals, validating documentation, interpreting carrier requirements, and ensuring timely, accurate execution in accordance with carrier and internal guidelines. The position does not provide insurance advice.

This is a hybrid position in Hunt Valley, Maryland, and open to other locations that will report remotely.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and oversee renewal case implementation with carrier partners, ensuring required documentation is complete and accurate prior to submission.

Serve as a primary operational point of contact for brokers regarding renewal timelines, requirements, and process updates.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (e.g., BSRs, Enrollment, Carrier Relations, IT) to support renewal modifications and installations.

Apply and interpret documented carrier rules and platform requirements to ensure compliant processing.

Monitor service‑level expectations, accuracy standards, and carrier audit requirements; address issues and elevate when appropriate.

Support renewal retention efforts by facilitating alternate quoting and plan changes as directed, within established carrier guidelines.

Maintain current knowledge of carrier products, procedures, systems, and applicable regulations affecting renewals.

Document activity and status updates in designated systems to support visibility and continuity.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience & Qualifications

Active Life & Health Insurance License or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment

2–3 years of related experience (health insurance administration, renewals, or customer service).

Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated focus on accuracy and timeliness.

Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate requirements clearly to broker partners.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.

Pursuant to Maryland regulation, the compensation range for this position is as stated and includes eligibility for performance‑based bonuses.

Maryland Pay Range: $50,000 USD - $60,000 USD
