The Government Field Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving the diagnostic (DX) strategy for Government accounts within the assigned geographic territory. This includes developing and managing government accounts, positioning Laboratory Diagnostic and POC products, services, and solutions to new or existing customers. This role will involve close collaboration with the DX Sales Team and Enterprise Services to enhance partnerships, streamline operations, and contribute to sustainable growth. The successful candidate will serve as the primary liaison for key government customers, including VA hospitals and other federal and state health facilities.
You Will
Develop and implement tailored commercial strategy for Government partnerships in the territory, identifying opportunities for growth and collaboration.
Meet and exceed sales goals specific to geographic territory.
Serve as single point of contact for all government customer needs.
Demonstrate product expertise across all diagnostic product lines and effectively position Siemens Healthineers solutions against competitors.
Collaborate cross-functionally with all internal teammates and stakeholders (specialists, Distributors, Health System Executives, service, technical applications, finance, etc.).
Develop and grow an opportunity funnel of both competitive/prospective customers and current Siemens Healthineers customers.
Lead business reviews and update account plans based on changing market, wins/loses, customer conditions and competitive activity.
Deliver customer business reviews to align on current landscape, retain our position, and identify additional growth opportunities with current customers.
Grow capital equipment and diagnostic reagent business across all Dx product lines.
Grow share of wallet within current customer base through competitive conversions, menu expansion and add assay opportunities.
Accurately maintain and update internal sales and data analytics tools (ex. CRM, quoting process, etc.)
Travel a minimum of 70% throughout the geographic territory.
Your Expertise
Track record of success selling medical devices in medical technology industry (Capital equipment in laboratory diagnostics space preferred).
Track record of success selling medical devices to VISNs & DOD (ideally laboratory diagnostics space).
Experience developing account-level deal strategy (Miller Heiman) & organizing team to execute on plan of action.
Strong relationship management skills with demonstrated ability to serve accounts.
Ability to collaborate in a matrixed organization and leverage resources.
Demonstrated knowledge of product lines, markets, and competitors.
7+ years of experience in clinical diagnostic sales, govt/corporate accounts, or hospital purchasing organizations.
Strong presentation skills.
This role is based in the USA.
This role is governed by our Fleet Safety Policy. To be eligible for employment, applicants must hold a valid driver’s license in the state they reside and may not have any prior DUI/DWI convictions or pending DUI/DWI charges or other serious moving violations (unless such a restriction is prohibited by state/local law).
Base Pay Range $124,800 – $171,600

Vendor Credentialing Requirements Position must have full access to Siemens Healthineers' client sites to perform the essential functions of this position.
