
Strategic Account Manager

Automation is harder than it should be. Our AI‑driven, fundamentally flexible Stuntman turns plain‑language intent into action by planning experiments, guiding closed‑loop automation, interpreting results, and capturing structured data at every step – all on a fit‑for‑purpose deck.
The Job We need a high‑octane Strategic Account Manager to sell our AI‑driven Stuntman product and grow the business. Stuntman enables dramatic gains in R&D productivity and innovation in drug development, chemicals, and material science organizations by providing intelligent laboratory automation solutions. We need people to roll up their sleeves, sweat, think outside the box, collaborate with our customers and create something special with us.
Responsibilities
Sell our Stuntman product in the assigned geography
Develop an understanding of R&D pains and map to value of Unchained Labs solutions
Generate new sales leads and opportunities and create awareness for our products in the region
Conduct technical presentations, at times in collaboration with Field Automation Scientists
Develop collaborative relationships with senior managers, VP, and key opinion leaders at customer accounts
Keep CRM system (Salesforce) up to date and qualify leads from Marketing
Navigate orders through the customer purchasing process
Provide accurate sales forecasts (monthly/quarterly)
Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets
Maintain positive customer relations
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field, graduate‑level degree preferable
5‑8+ years’ sales experience in the life science, chemical, or materials industries with laboratory equipment or automation, experience with enterprise‑level solution sales is highly desirable
Demonstrated track record of sales success and exceeding quotaDemonstrated track record of selling in complex purchasing environments with multiple decision makers
Extensive contacts in customer organizations in the assigned territory
Experience with Salesforce CRM
Travel up to 25% overnight (when necessary and possible)
Open mindset and inherent intellectual curiosity
Preferred location – San Francisco Bay Area
Compensation The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $150,000 - $190,000. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual base salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices. This role is also eligible for our commission program, and comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs.
