Freelance Health Content QA Editor - German to English Localisation

Medumio’s mission is simple:
make cutting-edge health knowledge accessible to everyone. We're scaling our online summits and need language-savvy editors to enhance our AI-assisted content localization.
NOTE: This is a fully remote position open to qualified candidates from any location.
What you'll do:
Review & Edit video transcripts
in your source language for accuracy
Verify and correct translations
into your target language ensuring accurate health terminology, natural phrasing and flow
Optimize content for voice narration
(e.g. targeting ≤16 Characters Per Second reading speed, add/confirm speaker tags)
Work with content about health and wellness topics like medicinal mushrooms, thyroid health, MS, Alzheimer's, and other health conditions
Requirements:
Native or near-native German and English (C2 level)
Sharp attention to detail, confidence with various editing tools and applications
Genuine interest in health and wellness topics
Nice-to-have:
Experience producing or editing health related content (e.g. magazines, blogs, journals)
Degree in Translation, Linguistics, Journalism, or a health-related field
Familiarity with subtitle files (SRT/VTT) and CPS/reading-speed concepts
