Responsibilities
Edit episodic vertical drama / vertical miniseries content with a strong sense of storytelling.
Optimize pacing, rhythm, and emotional escalation to maximize viewer retention and completion rates.
Craft compelling opening hooks, mid-episode tension, and cliffhangers.
Collaborate closely with producers to refine narrative flow and emotional payoff.
Handle bilingual post-production needs, including subtitle timing, dialogue clarity, and language consistency.
Apply post-production enhancements including sound design, music placement, transitions, and visual polish.
Deliver platform-ready exports optimized for vertical (9:16), mobile-first viewing.
Implement revisions efficiently based on creative feedback and performance goals.
Requirements
Proven experience editing vertical dramas or episodic narrative content.
Fluency in English, with working proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) for post-production collaboration.
Strong storytelling instincts with an understanding of emotional beats and pacing.
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent professional editing software.
Experience with mobile-first vertical formats.
Ability to work independently as a freelancer and manage fast turnaround timelines.
