Position Overview As an Indirect Regional Supplier Manager, you will be the primary category point of contact for supplier interactions, performance management, and negotiations. In this role, you will engage in supplier benchmarking analysis to formulate, lead and execute strategies to optimize cost, supply, and quality. Additional responsibilities include negotiating terms, conditions and pricing to leverage spend, leading and participating in department projects, serving as a primary contact for industry and regional supplier information.

Role Responsibilities & Tasks

Category Strategy & Projects: Partner with internal stakeholders to build a comprehensive view of supplier performance for continued sourcing success. Lead the development and implementation of category strategies and projects related but not limited to cost reduction initiatives, supply base optimization, and contract negotiation. Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships to meet category strategy goals and needs.

Manage Supplier Relationship Regionally: Act as primary point of contact for assigned suppliers/contractors in assigned category. Perform commercial supplier qualification activities, develop and maintain collaborative relationships while resolving performance/capability issues. Ensure suppliers comply with Micron’s code‑of‑conduct programs and corporate social responsibility initiatives. Communicate updates and decisions to multiple levels, including executive leadership, and enlist senior management when needed.

Identify and Implement Supplier‑Related Savings Levers: Participate in supplier segmentation and strategic goal setting. Provide market intelligence and category price trends, utilize should‑cost models, and serve as the center of knowledge for assigned category. Share insights with stakeholders to enable effective planning, forecasting and execution.

Drive Negotiations with Suppliers for Sustaining Purchases: Lead or participate in negotiations for contract extensions, renewals, price renegotiations, transfers, etc. Coordinate with Category Sourcing Manager when relevant or lead sourcing events/RFQ processes into bundled negotiation. Incorporate savings targets and contract requirements into negotiations, develop a contract strategy, and enforce terms and conditions.

Ensure Supplier Performance Management: Build a comprehensive view of supplier performance, collect and relay site‑specific priorities, and manage overall strategic supplier relationships. Collaborate internally to develop key performance metrics, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement. Organize and deliver strategic supplier events such as Quarterly Business Reviews, Annual Supplier Evaluations, and Executive Review Meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Business Administration/Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field of study.

Experience: Minimum of 8 years in Construction Project Management, Purchasing/Procurement in Construction, Quantity Surveying, Estimating, Contractor or Subcontractor Management, or Engineering (CSA, Electrical, Mechanical, Process) with construction experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Desired certification or licensing: APICS, PMI, CPM, CPSM, EIT, PE or other related fields of study.

Experience in Construction, Estimating, Quantity Surveying and Construction Project Procurement and Management.

Construction industry professional with expert knowledge of construction costs and contracts.

Ability to manage costs on a construction project and ensure completion within projected budget.

Experience with Cost Planning; Life Cycle Costing; Value Management; Value Engineering; Project Management; Preliminary Cost Advice; Procurement Methods; Contractual Advice; Tendering; Valuation of Construction Work; Cost Control & Financial Management; Financial Claims & Program Analysis; Dispute Resolution; Insurance Advice.

Experience evaluating suppliers/bidders, products, and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring approved purchases are cost‑efficient and of high quality.

Negotiation Strategy; Tactical Negotiation Plan; Tender document preparation; tendering process oversight; contract administration; payment monitoring; compliance with contracts; supplier trend analysis; procurement team management; cross‑departmental collaboration; market trend monitoring; final decision authority on purchases; change management of contracts; settlement responsibilities.

Compensation US base salary range: $110,000.00 – $249,000.00 a year.

Additional Compensation may include benefits, bonuses, and equity.
