
Business Development Manager - Missouri and Kansas

Summary
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is a channel sales partner responsible for ensuring Yokohama Off-Highway Tires America, Inc. (YOHTA)’s revenue objectives are met. This position is part of the field sales organization and interfaces regularly with clients, channel partners, management, and other business areas. It reports to the Regional Sales Manager. Due to the travel demand for this position, candidates who currently reside in Missouri or Kansas are preferred and relocation is not offered.
Sales Territory Missouri and Kansas
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Manage and grow the assigned territory to drive new revenue with channel partners and dealers.
Expand existing relationships to drive growth in each account.
Grow the channel network in your region, refining it for performance and revenue success in key segments.
Meet or exceed revenue targets.
Partner with channel and dealers to promote brands, educate sales reps and customers, communicate promotions, and optimize opportunities to drive revenue results.
Deliver compelling product presentations to expand product knowledge, understanding of product, and customer support.
Report regularly to management on forecast, sales pipeline, and sales results.
Travel in the territory to all channel partners and dealers (approximately 70‑80%).
Attend customer sales calls with partners to assist in closing business in your region.
Attend regular sales meetings with the team and manager.
Collaborate with and support sales and marketing to roll out regular promotions and product marketing materials that will enhance partner success and customer awareness.
Support and implement sales strategy developed by the Regional Sales Manager.
Support and implement the Company’s marketing and sales programs and initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related field.
Extensive experience in OTR/OHT segments (agriculture, construction, industrial, and forestry).
5‑8 years of experience selling tires, with preference given to those whose experience most closely aligns with this specific position.
Previous experience successfully growing new and existing business in a field territory.
Demonstrated experience selling through a channel or dealer network.
Excellent ability to work independently using proactive selling skills to create new relationships and foster existing ones.
Industry knowledge.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to travel in the territory up to 80% of the time.
Required to live within the territory.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail, self‑directed, dependable, works as a team player, and is capable of learning and communicating technical product information.
