CACI is seeking TS/SCI Poly‑cleared candidates for

Tajik

speakers, translators, and interpreters to join our prime contract supporting government operations in Fairfax, VA.

What You’ll Get To Do This role will enable you to utilize both your linguistic and analytical skills for mission‑driven work. You will translate and/or transcribe intermediate to advanced‑level printed materials, including but not limited to technical manuals, foreign‑language periodicals, and audio files into correct grammatical American English. You will work either as lead or as part of a team of linguists supporting CONUS and/or OCONUS operations.

More About The Role Translation

Accurately translate reports/texts in electronic and hard‑copy formats that contain facts and some abstract language, demonstrating an ability to capture intended implications and many nuances.

Generally capture geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements in text. Word choice and expression generally adhere to target‑language norms and means of expression specific to the subject field(s) and are strong enough to allow the translator to operate successfully in that field.

Interpretation

Interpret accurately, typically in consecutive interpretation; simultaneous interpretation (French and/or Arabic to English and English to French and/or Arabic) may be requested on occasions.

Have a good understanding of one or more regional dialects.

Transcription

Review audio or internet materials and transcribe with a high degree of accuracy and expression.

Possess excellent English‑language written communication skills for preparing reports.

Have a good understanding of one or more regional dialects.

You Will Bring These Qualifications

Ability to pass an advanced English test.

Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated polygraph.

Bachelor’s degree.

Ability to score ILR Level 3 or higher on a target‑language translation test.

Minimum five (5) years’ professional experience conducting translation, transcription, and/or interpretation.

In‑depth knowledge of the geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural components of target‑language geographical areas.

Mastery of MS Office and internet research.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice To Have

Previous military experience.

Good understanding of one or more regional dialects.

Consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation abilities.

This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. However, it is representative of positions within CACI that are consistently available. Individuals who apply may also be considered for other positions at CACI.

Pay Range There are a host of factors that can influence final salary, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The Proposed Salary Range For This Position Is $86,600 - $181,800
