LOCATION: Foster City, CA (Hybrid; 3 days in office/week)
PAY RANGE: $59 - $69/hr.

Job Description: This role will own content strategy that shapes the narrative and reputation with compelling content across owned and operated channels, including organic social media, The Journal, e-newsletters, and brand and destination partner storytelling, while supporting cross-functional teams with high-impact narrative development. Including how it shows up externally across key announcements, events, partnerships, and milestone moments, as well as supporting PR and Employee Communications with clear, compelling presentations.
The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of creative and strategic thinking. They are data-driven and are able to turn customer insights into engaging content. They know how to translate complex technical topics into accessible narratives, craft smart announcement frameworks, and develop content plans that build awareness, engagement, and trust. They have a proven track record of creating content for the ever-changing social media landscape. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, collaborate naturally with subject matter experts, and ensure every piece of content ladders up to broader brand and business goals.
In this role, you will be responsible for: Content Strategy & Planning
Developing integrated content strategies for owned marketing channels, including organic social media, blog/longform content, and email, including announcement and partnership storytelling. Build cohesive editorial narratives and frameworks that align with overarching communications and business goals. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for owned channels and analyze content performance. Understand and implement SEO best practices. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to align goals, messaging, and deliverables. Translate complex technical or product information into clear, compelling content strategies tailored to various audiences. Support external engagements: prepare and refine content for high-profile events and presentations, including keynote speeches, slide decks, and conference talking points.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with 6-8 years of experience in Marketing content strategy, brand storytelling, social media strategy, or integrated marketing in a high-growth startup, mobility, tech, or consumer brand environment. Experience working with consumer, technical, engineering, and/or product teams to translate complex ideas into clear narratives. Proven ability to develop multi-channel content strategies for brand or product campaigns. Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with multiple stakeholders. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Bonus: experience with partnerships, sports/culture marketing, or automotive/tech storytelling. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a customer-first approach. Background in Marketing, PR, or Customer Service is a plus.
