Your role and responsibilities As an Account Technical Leader for the IBM Technology portfolio, you will lead IBM's technical strategy and associated tactical engagements with clients, acting as a trusted IT architecture advisor on the entire IBM Technology Portfolio. You will work closely with the client, Technology Managing Director/Seller, and brand sales to define, document, and execute an IBM Client Technical Strategy (CTS) that is based on the client's business and technical challenges, strategies, and priorities.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Define Technical Strategy: Lead the development of a comprehensive technical strategy for clients, incorporating IBM's Technology Portfolio, including Software and Infrastructure offerings.

Collaborate with Clients: Work closely with clients to understand their business and technical challenges, strategies, and priorities, and develop tailored solutions to address their needs.

Develop Client Technical Strategy: Document and execute an IBM Client Technical Strategy (CTS) that aligns with the client's goals and objectives.

Provide Trusted Advisory: Act as a trusted IT architecture advisor, providing expert guidance on IBM's Technology Portfolio, including Data Platform, Automation Platform, Transaction Processing Platform, Hybrid Cloud Platform, Power, Storage, Cloud, TLS, and zHW.

Execute Tactical Engagements: Lead tactical engagements with clients, collaborating with Technology MD/Seller, and brand sales to deliver solutions that meet client

Required technical and professional expertise

Deep Expertise in IT Architecture: Five or more years of experience in designing and implementing comprehensive technical strategies, leveraging a broad range of technologies, including software, cloud, and infrastructure offerings.

Cross-Domain Technical Leadership: Five or more years of experience in leading technical teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, including sales, to deliver solutions that meet client needs.

Technical Strategy Development: Five or more years of experience in developing and executing technical strategies that align with client business objectives, incorporating IBM's Technology Portfolio.

Experience with IBM Technology Portfolio: Five or more years of experience working with IBM's Software and Infrastructure products, including Data Platform, Automation Platform, Transaction Processing Platform, Hybrid Cloud Platform, Power, Storage, Cloud, Technology Lifecycle Services, RedHat, and zHW.

Client-Facing Experience: Five or more years of experience working closely with clients to understand their business and technical challenges and developing tailored solutions to address their needs.

Communication and Collaboration Skills: Five or more years of experience demonstrating strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proven record of networking, co-creating, and influencing as the technical expert throughout the successful identification, progression, closure, and post-closure expansion of complex technology sales cycles.

Preferred technical and professional experience IBM Technology Proficiency: Deep Understanding of IBM Software: In-depth knowledge of IBM's four Software Platforms, including Data Platform, Automation Platform, Transaction Processing Platform, and Hybrid Cloud Platform, with product suites such as RedHat, DataStage, Concert, IntelliMagic, and Granite 3.0.

Familiarity with IBM Infrastructure: Experience with IBM's Infrastructure product portfolios, including Power, Storage, Cloud, TLS, and zHW, with products such as Power10, Storage Scale, Hyper Protect Virtual Servers, and z16.

Broad Technical Expertise: Knowledge of various technologies, including software and infrastructure offerings, to design and implement comprehensive technical strategies.

Strong business acumen: Ability to formulate strong business cases that makes technical sense and are value justified in the clients business terms and metrics. Knowledge and experience in covering Technical Sales in the State, Local and Education (SLED) Industry is key to the success of this role.

Executive communication: Demonstrated ability to create and deliver Executive level communications with energy, poise and confidence to audiences small and large.
