Job Summary The Business Development Representative (BDR) is a temporary outbound-focused role responsible for initiating contact with prospective healthcare organizations through high-volume outreach. This role is primarily accountable for making 60-75 outbound dials per day to qualify prospects and schedule conversations for Business Development Consultants or Directors, who will lead full sales discussions and close opportunities. This role is ideal for someone early in their sales career who is energized by outbound activity, goal-driven work, and building pipeline through disciplined outreach. This is a temporary, hourly position with the potential to extend or convert to a full-time role based on performance and business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Execute high-volume outbound outreach (50-60 dials per day) to targeted healthcare prospects.
Identify decision-makers and assess basic qualification criteria.
Communicate Caliber’s value proposition clearly and professionally to generate interest.
Schedule qualified discovery or introductory calls for Business Development Directors or Consultants (8+ meetings per month).
Accurately log all outreach, conversations, dispositions, and follow-ups in CRM.
Maintain organized and timely lead records to ensure smooth handoffs.
Partner closely with assigned Business Development Directors to ensure alignment on qualification criteria and successful meeting handoff.
Share prospect feedback and insights to improve outreach messaging and targeting.
Performance & Accountability
Consistently meet or exceed daily activity expectations (50-60 dials) and monthly meeting targets (8+).
Participate in coaching, feedback sessions, and performance reviews.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Prior experience in outbound sales, customer service, call center, or appointment setting preferred.
Comfortable with cold calling and high-volume outreach.
Experience using CRM systems is a plus.
Self‑motivated, coachable, and results‑oriented.
