Lending at Valon Valon is scaling up its mortgage lending business, which aims to provide Valon homeowners the ability to access low‑cost, streamlined mortgage loans and give Valon partners the tools they need to retain customers. As a member of the Lending Department, you will make it faster, easier, and cheaper for homeowners to get loans by reinventing the homeowner’s journey. We are looking for experienced and innovative individuals who are eager to transform the mortgage industry for the better by building our team and business.

About this Role The Lending Setup Desk Analyst will help execute the day‑to‑day operations of the Setup Desk, reporting to the Head of Operations. The Setup Desk at Valon Lending is responsible for preparing loan estimates/initial disclosures/redisclosures for Valon loan applicants, ordering third‑party services required for each loan, and other duties associated with ensuring that loan applicants transition from the sales to the processing milestone smoothly.

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate Loan Estimates and deliver required disclosures to Valon loan applicants in compliance with regulatory guidelines

Process loan dispositions in accordance with established compliance policies and procedures

Order and manage third‑party services essential to loan production, including appraisals, title work, and required verifications

Coordinate the seamless transfer of loans from Sales to Processing to ensure a smooth and positive borrower experience

Provide administrative support to Lending Management, including general Setup Desk responsibilities

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

2+ years of mortgage originations experience

Mortgage compliance knowledge is a plus

Proven customer service skills

Strong communicator with excellent writing abilities

High integrity with strong ethical values

Ability to manage multiple tasks and or projects simultaneously

Team player with the ability to work effectively with cross‑team members

Eager to join a highly dynamic team and play a role in a high‑growth, transformative project

Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or GED equivalent required

Ideal Background

Experience with industry technology (e.g. DU, LP, LOS systems, CRM)

Experience in a customer‑facing customer service environment, ideally in the mortgage industry
