Job Description – Assistant Editor/2D Motion Graphics Artist We are an award-winning B2B creative video agency specializing in medtech and pharma, seeking an Assistant Editor/2d Motion Graphics Artist to work on clinician-focused and patient-centered video content.
About You
You live and breathe tech, have knowledge of codecs, resolutions, and framerates, and are eager to start your journey towards higher post-production roles
You have an artistic background, and are looking to grow into a role that turn into a motion graphics artist position in the long-term
You’re curious and driven, with a thirst for new information and discovery
You’re a “Do it right" person with a high bar for personal performance
You’re very organized, exceedingly thorough and detail-oriented
You’re an articulate communicator, both written and verbal
You have excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to not just juggle, but effectively multitask/prioritize concurrent project assignments
You’re intrinsically motivated and a self-starter
You’re flexible and invested, ready to develop by embracing leadership and mentoring
What You’ll Do In this role, you will support our editor team across the post-production pipeline while also contributing to junior-level motion graphics and design work. On the editorial side, responsibilities include scheduling and tracking hard drive shipments between remote workers and production teams, preparing footage for editing, assisting editors throughout post-production, and archiving finished projects to ensure all work is protected and future-proofed.
In addition, you’ll assist with motion graphics tasks, including preparing graphic assets, building and updating simple animations, versioning graphics for different deliverables, and supporting editors with After Effects and design-driven projects. An eye for design, attention to detail, and an interest in visual storytelling are essential for this role.
In this job, you’ll help lay the foundation for our award-winning storytelling and learn our post process from the ground up, both editorially and graphically. With hands-on exposure to video editing and motion graphics, you’ll be well-positioned to take on increasingly complex post-production challenges. And because of our small size, you’ll gain meaningful, hands‑on experience much faster than in larger post houses.
You’ll be coached and encouraged to grow and take on new challenges, including editing, motion graphics, sound, and color grading. While this is an entry‑level position and training will be provided, candidates should bring a baseline familiarity with video editing workflows and motion graphics tools, along with a strong visual sensibility and eagerness to learn. This is a foundational role that, with interest, drive, and curiosity, can grow into a fulfilling career in post‑production and motion design.
What You Bring
Extremely computer literate, with enthusiasm for new technology and software
4-year degree in related field (Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Film Production)
Working knowledge of the video production process from concept to completion
Able to multitask and work independently
Experience with After Effects is a requirement
Experience with Avid Media Composer is a plus, or some digital NLE equivalent
Experience with Microsoft Teams or other collaboration/project management software is a plus
Reliable vehicle and car insurance
Experience
