Our client works with the Texas Reliability Entity (TRE), one of eight regional entities within the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) that coordinate to improve reliability of the bulk power grid. Our client is a membership-based 501(c) nonprofit corporation, and its members include consumers, electric cooperatives, generators, power marketers, retail electric providers, investor-owned electric utilities (transmission and distribution providers), and municipally owned electric utilities.

Job Description: Client is at the heart of Texas's electric grid-balancing reliability, market efficiency, and innovation. We are seeking a visionary Enterprise Architecture Lead focused on Business Process Engineering to drive transformative change across our organization. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives on identifying inefficiencies, designing breakthrough solutions, and leveraging emerging technologies to unlock new levels of performance. You will work across departments-from Market Operations to Grid Reliability-to reimagine how Client delivers value to stakeholders while ensuring strategic alignment, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain enterprise process architectures to provide visibility into business capabilities, process interdependencies, and system integrations. Analyze and map existing business processes across departments to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and redundancies. Lead cross-functional teams to uncover opportunities for continuous improvement and breakthrough innovation. Design and implement reengineered processes that align with strategic goals, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. Evaluate and recommend technology-driven solutions (e.g., automation, predictive analytics, intelligent workflows) to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making. Develop business cases and ROI models for process transformation initiatives, including AI adoption. Monitor post-implementation performance and continuously refine processes based on feedback and analytics. Champion a culture of innovation, agility, and data-driven decision-making across the organization. Design future-state processes that align with enterprise architecture principles, NERC/FERC compliance, and Client's strategic roadmap. Serve as a change agent and thought leader, promoting a culture of innovation, agility, and data-driven decision-making. Qualifications:
Requires Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field (Master's preferred). Requires minimum 8 years of experience in business process improvement, enterprise architecture, or transformation Requires excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Prefer ISO/RTO or utility experience Prefer experience with BPR methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, BPMN) and EA frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman). Prefer familiarity with regulatory frameworks (FERC, NERC, PUCT) and their impact on process and system design. Prefer deep understanding of Client's operational and market functions. Risk management understanding is a plus
