Trade Compliance Specialist II
The Trade Compliance Specialist II is responsible for ensuring the company's global trade activities are compliant with all applicable Customs, export control, and international trade regulations. This includes providing compliance guidance to internal stakeholders, managing regulatory licenses and classification processes, supporting logistics operations, and minimizing trade-related risks to the business. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ensure logistics operations comply with global Customs and trade regulations and internal policies. Respond to routine compliance inquiries from internal and external parties, including government agencies. Provide risk assessments and compliance consultation to business and operations teams. Identify compliance impacts and recommend mitigation strategies. Determine ECCN and HS classifications and prepare necessary license/permit applications. Drive and manage official ECCN classification and ensure correct usage across the business. Monitor and communicate relevant trade regulation changes and assess impact on the business. Develop plans to minimize compliance risks and enforce internal procedures. Lead initiatives to improve trade compliance, digitalization, and data quality. Provide regular compliance intelligence updates and ensure clear communication with stakeholders. Education & Experience: Must have a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, International Trade, Legal Studies, or related fields. Must have at least 4 years of trade compliance experience. Must have working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and Customs import/export regulations. Must have experience with ECCN/HS code classification, valuation, and country of origin determination. Familiarity with ERP systems preferred. Qualification & Skills: Required qualifications and skills include, but are not limited to: Strong knowledge of global trade compliance regulations. Experience working with licensing, permits, and international classification codes. Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical abilities. Preferred qualifications and skills include, but are not limited to: ERP software experience. Proactive mindset toward risk identification and mitigation. Ability to stay current with regulatory changes and translate them into business practices.
