Location: Onsite - Raleigh, NC
Long Term Contract -W2 / C2C
Job Description:
We are seeking
Technical Product Owners
with a solid blend of
hands-on technical expertise
and strong
product ownership
capabilities in the
Banking and Payments domain . The ideal candidate will have experience in defining and delivering digital banking functionalities and payment processing solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: Act as the bridge between
business stakeholders
and
technical teams
to define and prioritize features Translate high-level product requirements into clear
technical specifications
and user stories Collaborate with architects, developers, and QA to ensure
technical feasibility and timely delivery Drive
end-to-end product lifecycle
from concept through delivery and support Lead grooming, sprint planning, and backlog refinement sessions Ensure compliance with
regulatory
and
security standards
in banking/payment systems Provide domain expertise in
retail/wholesale payments ,
ACH ,
wire transfers ,
card payments , etc. Identify and mitigate product and delivery risks in coordination with all stakeholders Required Skills & Experience:
10+ years of experience
in IT with a minimum of
4+ years as a Product Owner Strong background in
banking systems
and
payments platforms Hands-on technical experience with APIs, data flows, systems integration, or backend systems Proficiency in
Agile/Scrum
methodology and tools like
JIRA, Confluence Deep understanding of
payment workflows ,
settlement systems , and
transaction lifecycle Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making skills Nice to Have:
Experience with
real-time payment systems (RTP, FedNow) Familiarity with
ISO 20022 ,
SWIFT , or
blockchain
use cases in payments Product Owner Certification (e.g., CSPO, SAFe POPM)
