Marketing Intern

The Marketing Intern supports marketing and outreach efforts through social media content creation, staff recognition posts, and job marketing. This role also assists with event marketing in collaboration with internal teams and external partners. As time allows, the intern may participate in community tabling events and help with donor and supporter communications, including mailers and outreach materials. Create and schedule staff recognition posts and general social media content. Assists with social media content creation to support branding and engagement. Supports job marketing efforts on LinkedIn to strengthen the organization's online and employer brand presence. Assists with event marketing, including coordinating with in-house teams and the IM design team on promotional materials. Participates in community tabling events, as time permits, to support face-to-face marketing and outreach. Assists with preparing and managing mailers and communications to donors and supporters. Attends and participates in monthly and as-needed supervision and training meetings. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Prior experience in the health and human services field is preferred but not required. Certifications & Licenses: N/A Computer Skills: Computer experience in Microsoft Office programs and moderate to advanced computer fluency. Additional Qualifications: Possess strong interpersonal skills; ability to meet people with ease; strong organizational skills; well disciplined; ability to work under pressure of many priorities and meet deadlines. This job operates in a community setting, as well as in a professional office setting. This position primarily works with clients out in the community and within the agency's residential facilities. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; handle objects; grasp and reach for items with hands and arms; manipulate hands and fingers; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. The employee is required to become certified in Managing Aggressive Behaviors (MAB), which includes training in proper restraint/physical intervention techniques to be utilized as a last resort. The employee is also required to become certified in CPR First Aid, which involves the use of upper body strength and stamina in order to push hard and fast on the chest for at least two inches at a rate of 100 to 120 compressions per minute. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Language skills are required, including the ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak the English language. This position also requires the ability to interpret written materials, write reports and business correspondence, and effectively present and respond to questions.
